From musicians to screen writers — story writers to novelists: everybody who writes has reason to use a typewriter.

We are writers and authors – and like you – love to use typewriters in our writing process. As time has gone by there has been a need in our community for a full service typewriter shop. So here we are reconditioning, resurrecting, and everything else in-between to keep our beloved typewriters clicking and clacking away. Whatever your machine may need, we can do it.

Our bespoke services are tailored to your needs. You are welcome to visit us in person or virtually.

Muse was founded in 2020 by Mechanic and Writer, Bob Marshall. Today Muse employs and has many volunteers with the same goal in mind: keep our typewriters serving the writer. Mr. Marshall has always been a Mechanic, working in the fields of automotive, motorcycles, guitars, amplification both tubed and solid-state and building mechanics. With over 30 years of experience, he brings his years of business and industrial knowledge and experience to Muse. Our processes and procedures allow our many craftspeople and mechanics to perform all needed works to your typewriter on our reconditioning line. This line was invented and set to serve the typewriter and make sure it gets all the attention it deserves, adding decades of life and usability to our beloved writing machines. 

A Note on Anonymity: We have many friends and customers in many industries whose names are well known. We understand the need for personalized service that respects your privacy with the upmost discretion. We are interested in your machine, not your career. We can use an alias in the service of your machine, we do not share your information unless you wish us to, and we have a very strict non-disclosure policy.
