Manufactured before the merge that would give birth to Smith-Corona, the Model 3 Portable typewriter is notable for its unique folding mechanism.  Surprisingly petite, Model 3's were used by famous authors such as Herman Miler and Agatha Christie, no doubt for their excellent ability to save space in luggage and still produce a superior writing experience.
